The last match Denty missed before his record breaking run was also against Leicester Police – is there a theme here?

The match against Coalville PR on 16th February 2002 was Match 192

Other ‘Lady-goal’ Facts

·         Claire Eastwood was the first Aardvarks lady to score when she 19/02/94, match 36 versus Syston Beavers at Brighton Avenue, in a 2-0 win.

·         Helen Skemp scored a penalty flick in a shoot-out that Aardvarks actually won.  Unfortunately these goals like friendlies, do not count.

·         Ruth Jones also scored in a friendly and at Worthing.  The friendly goal was covered in some controversy as husband Jonah was umpring and ‘allegedly’ overlooked a ‘lifted ball’ before Mrs J netted.  The goal at Worthing 2001 erased memories of that goal (hopefully).

·         Clare Lawrence-Simms netted at Blossomfield and subsequently at Worthing.  Clare has an infamous celebration, where she breaks the World 400m record when lapping the pitch and surrounding sports centre / school.

·         Katherine Chapman once had a shot.
